Mohammed Ismail Sherif, professionally known as Black Sheriff or Blacko is a Ghanaian multi talented musician who is able to rap and also sing. Prior to his fame in 2021 with the song titled ‘First Sermon”, He was underground doing his thing by holding little shows at gatherings in small communities. The lyrics in the first sermon that says “Na Kweku Frimpong De Asem Beba” was a very catchy phrase for people and boom. The song went viral. His songs which mostly target the youth and even ghetto guys have seen a lot of streams on platforms like Spotify, AudioMack, Apple music and YouTube. Black Sheriff has won several awards for his music and examples are BET Hip Hop Award for Best International Flow (2023), The Headies Award for West African Artiste and also VGA Artist of the year (2023).
